WLAN antennas are used as “subscriber” antenna for Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) system. This system uses a free frequency link at 2.4 GHz. Together with the radio interface, the antenna ensures a wireless Internet connection to all connected subscribers.
Antenna measurements have been carried out in a so called anechoic antenna measuring facility at ASTRON to ensure well defined antenna characteristics in its user environment.
